WATCH: What Cats Are Saying When Playing Patty-cake

Patty-cake Match Features First Ever Cat to English Translation

A redonkulous video of Cats Playing Pattycake is a nugget of YouTube gold that's gone viral in the last few weeks, with over 1.2 million views at this writing! Naturally, YouTubers know that there is never too much of a good thing and YouTuber Justin C. Elliot (and friend?) has stepped up to the plate and added a hysterical voice-over to the video.  Watch the video below!

Is This Normal Kitty Behavior?

Do your kitties get all pissy and call each other 'dude' when they get frustrated? Is this normal? What exactly compelled these two kitties to engage in this gentle smackdown is yet to be seen, but it looks like they are being watched by other kitties on Cat-roulette in the background? Maybe they are playing for the camera?

Either way – the voice over is a little bit o' brilliance -and thanks to our friends at the Huffington Post for sharing this with us!

100 Cats Set Loose in IKEA

Screen shot 2010-09-09 at 6.53.39 PM

Hey! Check Out The New FAAAHCK Over Here!

What happens when you let 100 housecats loose in an enormous IKEA superstore? One clue: Not one high-tailed it to the $4.99 meatball line or ball pit of hell.

Why Housecats You Ask?

The experiment of releasing 100 cats into IKEA was the brainchild of Mother London, IKEA UK's ad agency. As part of their new advertising campaign for IKEA, they wanted to see how 100 cats would make themselves at home inside a superstore. The result is a stylistically beautiful one-minute ad that is nothing short of adoro!

Feh Tarty, creative director of the ad tells the Guardian, "Cats know better than anything what makes them feel happy inside, they live their lives in pursuit of their own comfort. So we released a hundred cats in to the Ikea Wembley store, for real, to see where they went and what furniture made them happy."

Hats off to Mother London for the beautifully executed finished piece. Check out the video below for a fun look behind the experiment of IKEA UK's release of 100 house cats into its Wembley store.

ps. I particularly enjoyed watching the cats investigate the LACK, MUCK, FAARFEGNUTGEN, BERGSBO and AAACK models – didn't you?

Merengue Dog Dazzles More Than Most DWTS Contestants

Merengue Dog Dancing Dog
Video: Dog Rocks It in Sparkly Satin Green Jumper, Dazzles Crowd

The video of an amazingly talented and well-trained dog named Carrie, aka The Dancing Merengue Dog, is making the rounds today, and if you haven’t seen it, you are not going to believe how this dog can work a room (or in this case the parking lot) in a satin green sparkly jumper ensemble. The way she can move on the dance floor rivals most of the people we've seen on "Dancing With The Stars" in fact, I am going to come right out and say that her stage presence and cheery disposition make her more talented than a good number of the half-wits featured on the show.

Mad Merengue Skills

What I find especially amazing to me are the combination paw-to-hand spins under her partners arm and her ability to remember all those crazy steps – BACKWARDS! I only hope her little spine isn't strained too much from continually dancing around in that somewhat unnatural, upright position.

Do you suppose she and her dance partner get into dramatic and/or pissy arguments about who is working harder just like the folks on Dancing With The Stars? God only knows, but I do hope she gets the motherlode of treats and lots extra playtime for her incredible patience and focus.  What dance routine you suppose is next for Carrie? Single Ladies? Alejandro? California Grrls?

Cuteness Overload Motherlode: The Worlds Tiniest Pony. Ever.

This is not a toy. Seriously. This pony is real.

Just when you thought you'd seen just about all the cuteness "teh internets" has to offer, we bring you the motherlode of cuteness, Einstein, the teeny-weeniest pony on the planet  - born just last week and measuring a mere 4 inches and six pounds at birth….about the size of a toy poodle!

Not a preemie, Einstein is a perfectly proportioned pony and was born at the Tiz A Miniature Horse Farm in Barnstead, N.H. to breeder Judy Smith. Einstein is owned by Dr. Rachel Wagner and her husband Charles Cantrell who live in Bellingham, Wash.

Cuteness. Is. Paralyzing. Too. Much. Cute. At. One. Time.

"So we have this little foal that was born here on this miniature horse farm that set the Guinness World Record for smallest baby horse," says Wagner. "He's very perfect-looking little boy, not dwarfy at all."

Check Einstein frolicking about in the video below and be prepared for serious cuteness paralysis. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Must See Video: Baby Chicks Pimp Patient Pitbull

Pitbull Sharky: Very likely the most patient dog…ever.

With Easter just days away, it would be sacrilegious for us not to bring to you some absurdly adorable video involving little bitty, yellow snuggly-wuggly, fluffy, cheep-cheeping yellow baby chicks…right? Well, thanks to our friend Texas Girly (mom to the famous Roomba Riding Cat) and her amazingly patient pooch Pitbull Sharky, we bring you this most non-traditional Easter video involving one swimming pool, one flock of baby chicks, one boogie board and a Pitbull with the patience of a saint!

Funny Dog Video: Law & Order Theme Song Bums Out Dogs Across America

Dogs. DOINK! DOINK! Howling Dogs. DOINK! DOINK! These are their stories.

It all started when Knuckles the Jack Russell's parents noticed that each time he overheard the theme song of "Law & Order" on the television, he would begin to whimper and then forcefully howl his way through the opening credits while the theme song played on.

Finding his behavior nothing short of hysterically funny, Knuckle's parents did what any upstanding citizen would and should do…. they posted a video of him howling along to the song on Youtube. Since posting said video of Knuckles one year ago, and racking up more than 10,000 views, dozens of videos have since been posted of dogs with a similar aversion to the unmistakeable DOINK DOINK of the L&O theme song!

Why they're howling: A thin plot-line? Volume too loud? An involuntary reaction?

According to ABC news and veterinary neurologist Susan Wagner, dogs are probably involuntarily howling at this song due to its higher-register notes in the iconic DOINK DOINK theme song. (I personally believe that it is the darkly criminal and somewhat upsetting story lines of the show that is totally bumming out these dogs.)

Dozens of videos reside on Youtube that showcase this hysterical howling…but my all time favorite is of the Doberman who is casually chilling in his Bark-o-lounger, complete with his cozy macrame blankie (and possibly a lap tray?) – it's awesome. Really. The second video is a mash up of a bunch of different dogs singing along, each one funnier than the next. ENJOY!

What do the iPad and Puppies Have in Common?

Apple's newly launched mobile device – the iPad – is all the news lately, with industry thought-leaders and techno-nerds weighing in on the features of the new breakthrough gizmo.  Described as a "…truly magical and revolutionary product,"  by Apple Founder Steve Jobs, the iPad is being touted as a life-changing device that will impact the users in unimaginable ways.

Life changing? Truly magical? Unimaginable joy?

I'm sorry, but there are very few things in life that can bestow all these qualities and a  9.7 inch touch-screen device is not one of them.  If you, in fact,  are seeking something magical that brings unimaginable joy, look no further than the sixth annual display of canine cuteness that is Puppy Bowl VI.

While the adorable puppies participating in Puppy Bowl VI will not help you record voice memos, update your Facebook profile or surf the web like the iPad can,  you indeed CAN play with puppies in direct sunlight and still see them clearly.

Learn more about Puppies, the iPad and Puppy Bowl VI in the hysterical video below and be sure to tune in to Puppy Bowl VI on Animal Planet on February 7 at 3pm!
