Gus the Bulldog Gets An Indoor Pool [VIDEO]

Let there be no doubt that Gus is one tenacious Bulldog! With summer temperatures soaring, Gus the Bulldog has no interest in lounging in his baby pool in the heat of the great outdoors – but instead opts to take the fun indoors!

What is Gus really thinking?

Knowing how dogs operate – my guess is that Gus's true intentions is to make this HIS personal pool and likely intends to take the pool into his bed to chew on in solitude…away from his accomplice. What do you think?

Adorable Beagle Plays Catch With Paws!

Forget Fetch…This Beagle Plays Catch!

Most fairly coordinated dogs can catch balls in their mouth, but just how many dogs can catch with their paws? Check out the remarkable eye-paw coordination of this darling Beagle pup who, after a few tries, masters the art of "catch" – and looks darn proud of herself I might add.

Adding to the adoro-factor is the off camera pitcher who hoots in celebration after each successful catch. If this doesn't put a smile on your face today, I simply don't know what will!

Thanks to Baby Praying Mantis for turning us on to this one!

WATCH: Dogs Sledding Downhill…Without a Sled

Just when you thought you'd seen Extreme Sports Sporting Dog breeds tackle just about every sport out there — snowboarding, skateboarding, dock diving, wake-boarding, motocross and even skydiving….comes the newest craze of doggie daredevils – Snow Sliding Dogs. It is just about the most hysterical thing we've the last 45 minutes, at least.

Why Do Labs Dominate This 'Sport?'

Is this whole competitive-downhill-sliding thing only a Lab thing? Does anyone know? A cursory search of 'teh internets' indicates that Labrador Retrievers are definitely dominating in this particular, lesser known Olympic activity. Do Labs have some rare sledding gene none of us knew about?

Check out these furry goofballs in action below. These redonkulous videos are sure to bust any Monday morning blues you're grappling with today! Enjoy!

WATCH: Chunky Dog Crashes Aussie Soccer Game

Screen shot 2011-01-23 at 2.27.14 PM Jack Russell Bends It Like Bowser

Known to be one of the scrappiest dogs on the planet, check out the game face on this tenacious Jack Russell as he crashes this (random) game of "Footy" between Australia and Ireland. Amazingly, not one player has the wherewithal to pass him a ball, or high five him when the other team fouls (…at 1:36 in the video).

Amazingly, this portly pup manages to stay in the game for a good four minutes and the crowd is none too pleased when Angry-Man-in-Members-Only-Jacket has the gall to unceremoniously remove him from the playing field. Watch the video and be amused!

Odd. Very Odd.

I found the following things to be particularly odd about this video – how about you?

1) None of the players are phased in the least that a portly pooch is ripping around the field

2) Since when is picking up and running with a soccer ball acceptable?

3) What's the deal with the dude combing his hair in the beginning (and end) of the video?

4) Who knew that there was a "Fox Footy" channel?

Impatient Dog Honks Horn

This Dog is Dern Fed Up

Earlier this week we sent out a request for your fun photos of "driving dogs" – random dogs captured whilst at the wheel of a car. So far, your photo submissions have been great, especially the pics where the window is actually rolled down while the dog is sitting in a parked car. Wha?! Seriously people. What have we all agreed on regarding dogs cooped up in hot cars with all the windows closed. Not good.

Anyhoo – stepping down off my soap box, given the theme of the week, I had to share this hysterical find from our creative friends over at Sh*, featuring a highly annoyed American Eskimo shamelessly broadcasting the fact that he is sick and tired of waiting in the Staples parking lot for his driver to return. Please note that it appears to be an overcast day and the windows are indeed rolled down offering proper air circulation ; )

Is it just me or...

Does the drivers seat of this car seem to be unnaturally close to the steering wheel? Either our impatient friend cleverly jacked the seats to offer optimal honking ability or perhaps the driver is Shorty from Pit Boss.

Merengue Dog Dazzles More Than Most DWTS Contestants

Merengue Dog Dancing Dog
Video: Dog Rocks It in Sparkly Satin Green Jumper, Dazzles Crowd

The video of an amazingly talented and well-trained dog named Carrie, aka The Dancing Merengue Dog, is making the rounds today, and if you haven’t seen it, you are not going to believe how this dog can work a room (or in this case the parking lot) in a satin green sparkly jumper ensemble. The way she can move on the dance floor rivals most of the people we've seen on "Dancing With The Stars" in fact, I am going to come right out and say that her stage presence and cheery disposition make her more talented than a good number of the half-wits featured on the show.

Mad Merengue Skills

What I find especially amazing to me are the combination paw-to-hand spins under her partners arm and her ability to remember all those crazy steps – BACKWARDS! I only hope her little spine isn't strained too much from continually dancing around in that somewhat unnatural, upright position.

Do you suppose she and her dance partner get into dramatic and/or pissy arguments about who is working harder just like the folks on Dancing With The Stars? God only knows, but I do hope she gets the motherlode of treats and lots extra playtime for her incredible patience and focus.  What dance routine you suppose is next for Carrie? Single Ladies? Alejandro? California Grrls?

Funny Dog Video: Law & Order Theme Song Bums Out Dogs Across America

Dogs. DOINK! DOINK! Howling Dogs. DOINK! DOINK! These are their stories.

It all started when Knuckles the Jack Russell's parents noticed that each time he overheard the theme song of "Law & Order" on the television, he would begin to whimper and then forcefully howl his way through the opening credits while the theme song played on.

Finding his behavior nothing short of hysterically funny, Knuckle's parents did what any upstanding citizen would and should do…. they posted a video of him howling along to the song on Youtube. Since posting said video of Knuckles one year ago, and racking up more than 10,000 views, dozens of videos have since been posted of dogs with a similar aversion to the unmistakeable DOINK DOINK of the L&O theme song!

Why they're howling: A thin plot-line? Volume too loud? An involuntary reaction?

According to ABC news and veterinary neurologist Susan Wagner, dogs are probably involuntarily howling at this song due to its higher-register notes in the iconic DOINK DOINK theme song. (I personally believe that it is the darkly criminal and somewhat upsetting story lines of the show that is totally bumming out these dogs.)

Dozens of videos reside on Youtube that showcase this hysterical howling…but my all time favorite is of the Doberman who is casually chilling in his Bark-o-lounger, complete with his cozy macrame blankie (and possibly a lap tray?) – it's awesome. Really. The second video is a mash up of a bunch of different dogs singing along, each one funnier than the next. ENJOY!

Hilarious Video: Cat with Mad Roomba Riding Skillz

Roomba-wrangling Cat Harasses Pudgy Pitbull

Just when you thought you'd seen everything, a game-changing gem comes along that can only be described as one of the most preposterous videos ever involving a cat, a dog, a bath mat, a trashcan and a household appliance, in particular  -  the mechanical innovation that is the Roomba.

Apparently there are many Roomba-riding videos floating around in the ether, one of which includes sleeping kittens unceremoniously being flung off a Roomba – brought to my attention courtesy of The Washington Post. However this little jewel is cinematically different in that no animals were harmed or humiliated in the making of this film (…except maybe for the dog who get bitch slapped).

Cat Got Game – Team Kitty Roomba: 1, Team Dog: Zero.

My favorite thing about this video, shot by my new BFF, Texas Pitbull Sharky, is that not only does the cat hop on the Roomba without any coercion, but he confidently dominates the Roomba like a cowboy astride his steed. Even when the Roomba runs headlong into the bathroom wall, this crazy cat maintains his game face and casually hangs on, managing to harass his brother Sharky with a snarky drive-by swipe.

I wonder if this cat does windows?
