Since cats clearly are not getting enough face time or visibility online, Sony Computer Science Laboratories has come up with a world-changing technological breakthrough for cats: A cat collar that now enables cats to post tweets to Twitter.
How will the device accurately tweet exactly what your pet is doing, you ask? The device contains a small camera, a GPS and other equipment which tracks activities like eating, sleep and walking. The data is then transmitted through a wireless Bluetooth connection, which automatically posts comments to Twitter based on what the cat is doing, as "This tastes good" when the cat is eating.
I like the concept, but only 11 pre-programmed tweets seems a little limiting. What do you think? Would you try this out with your cat? How about a Twitter Transmitter for Dogs?
